| How do I delete a speed dial assignment? To delete a speed dial assignment from the list, simply swipe the row to the right or to the left. The list is the same Palm list you see in many other WebOS applications, so it is easy to use the same gestures in Quick Dialer. | 24 Sep, 2009 7:32 PM |
| Why is the image for a contact missing from the contact list?Sometimes a contact's image can go missing if that contact has changed their profile picture in a Synergy linked account, such as Facebook. To recover the contact's image, just delete the contact from the Quick Dialer's list and add it back to the list again. | 27 Oct, 2009 12:57 AM |
| Why can't I see the SMS icon for Existing Contact entries? Enable SMS is turned on in Preferences. The SMS icons only appear if the assigned phone number for the existing contact is a mobile phone. | The background image I have selected is not being applied. How can I fix this? This is caused by having spaces in the file name of the background image that has been selected. This has been fixed for the next version of Quick Dialer and will be in the next official update. In the meantime, just remove the spaces from the file name of the background image. | 1 Nov, 2009 8:31 PM |
| Contact images no longer appear after upgrading to WebOS version 1.3.1.Unfortunately, that is correct. Palm notified me on 11/13/09 that they introduced a bug in 1.3.1 that breaks this and other similar apps that display contact images. They also stated it will be corrected in the next available WebOS update. Thank you for patience with the issue, it is just as upsetting to me. For more information, please see Palm's official release notes for 1.3.1, which state in the Known Issues section: Third-party apps cannot display contact photos directly from the locations returned by the People Picker. This bug will be fixed in a subsequent webOS release. If you are participating in the e-commerce beta program and your app is affected by this issue, please contact your Palm account manager. Again, thank you for patience with the issue. We will provide a fix as soon as something becomes available. Thanks, Matthew | 13 Nov, 2009 7:30 PM |
| After replacing my phone, Quick Dialer did not restore from my Palm Profile. Or, Quick Dialer is not available in the App Catalog after replacing my phone. How do I re-download Quick Dialer? Most times, restoring your Palm Profile does the trick and Quick Dialer is installed right along with the rest of your apps. The Palm Profile keeps track of the apps you have paid for, so you do not need to purchase Quick Dialer again. However, there are potential issues restoring data and sometimes the Palm Profile doesn't restore correctly. One way you can get Quick Dialer back or make it available to download in the App Catalog again is to follow these instructions: * Upgrade your phone to the current WebOS software version * Once phone is finished upgrading and reboots, do a full erase * Reactivate your phone and log into your profile * Wait for the phone to reboot and all of you palm profile data should be restored For more information, please see this thread at PreCentral: http://forums.precentral.net/palm-pre-tips-information-resources/206295-replacement-phone-no-palm-profile-information-tip-ex-contacts.html | 14 Dec, 2009 11:49 PM |
| How do I insert pauses or delays when dialing a phone number? To pause while dialing, include a P in the phone number to be dialed where you'd like the pause to occur. To delay dialing by 2 seconds, use a T within the phone number. | 14 Jul, 2010 5:23 PM |
